Because of the closeness to the land and the realities of life and death that homesteaders are faced with on a regular basis, they have a unique vantage point that allows them to keep their – our – end goal ever at the forefront of their minds.

But that doesn’t mean that we should idolize the lifestyle as the end all be all. We have to realize that not everyone is called to live rurally, just as not everyone is called to live in the city. It’s about following God’s call and letting Him lead you.
