Heart Speaks to Heart – Family Life: The Homestead as Part of the Church: Part 3

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to part three of our discussion on family life and how the homestead can lend itself as part of the Church as a larger whole! Join us today as we discuss everything from the importance of work and sacrifice on the homestead, why homesteading keeps us more aware of the presence of God, and the reason why prepping might just not be the right mindset for a homesteading family.

Why is technology dangerous to use for everything on the homestead? Could there really be sanctification in work?

And what about using animals for meat? Is that really okay? Why should we even care about that as a Christian homesteading family?

Find the answer to these questions and more in this final episode of the homestead as part of the Church.

Because of the closeness to the land and the realities of life and death that homesteaders are faced with on a regular basis, they have a unique vantage point that allows them to keep their – our – end goal ever at the forefront of their minds.

But that doesn’t mean that we should idolize the lifestyle as the end all be all. We have to realize that not everyone is called to live rurally, just as not everyone is called to live in the city. It’s about following God’s call and letting Him lead you.
